PHOTOSHOP PLEASE HELP?

Okay, so I just downloaded a free trial of Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended, and it's given me nothing but trouble. First of all, the color won't change from blue. It's in the right mode so I don't know what's wrong. It is insanely annoying. Also, a ton of the time the tool won't change either. My computer isn't really that slow so I have no clue as to what the problem is. Someone help!? 10 POINTS!
I ment CS5, sorry.

Is it a legitimate copy? If not, there's a lot of bad Adobe software out there that can harm your computer... Make sure you only download from Adobe direct

If it's safe and legit, then definitely make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements for Adobe Photoshop Extended, including tested and recommended graphics cards
