How do you photoshop signs for your site on myspace?

I have my own layout and contest site on myspace.I have layouts,contests,fan signs,etc.But I want to have a sign request.But the problem is,I don't know how.Can you like tell me how somehow.haha.I know it's hard to explain but I would really like to know how to make signs.Like where do you get fonts,backrounds,and how do you cut things out.Oh and how do you like put like little abercrombie mooses in the backround.Just tell me where I can get stuff and how you apply it to the picture.
