Can you fix severely out of focus pictures in Photoshop CS?
I was at a wedding and my boss took pictures and a lot of them have the background focused and the foreground is severely out of focus. Is there any way I can salvage these photos for my friend? I understand that you can't make them perfect but I want to make them better than they are.
I've tried sharpen, high pass, unsharp mask, etc.

How severe? Really severe. Like, I don't know how to describe it. We'll call it a gaussian blur of 4.9 on an image size of 3008x2000 px
Unfortunately no. It's sad and sucks. I've been there. But when a picture is blurry it's blurry.
