Photoshop Help Central

I need help with making a video, I would love some tips or ideas!?

I'm making a video on Microsoft Movie Maker and I would love to do something really cool like blending two videos together, or make a layer over the whole video (if even possible) like you can with pictures in Photoshop. The only editing i can do, that I know of, is transitions and a couple (10 maybe?) editing techniques like B&W, Mirror imaging, and simple filters like that. I would love to know how to do things like they do in these videos for example:
