What size do I make my photos for my portfolio?

Im putting together a portfolio and I dont have access to photoshop right now so im resorting to using Picnik. I want to print these pictures on a standard paper at Staples, so do I size my pictures to 8 x 11 , so that it has a small white border? And what size do I make my photos to fit the paper if the dimentions are 1792 x 2529 ?

Your image resolution is a little low at 1792x2529. You want to shoot for 300ppi which would be 2400x3000 for an 8x10 which is the smallest size for a portfolio. As long as you have well exposed and sharp images you should be okay at 8x10. Don't put a border on them unless you intend to mat them. At 8x10 I would mount them borderless on 11x14 stock.
