Does the Wacom Intuos 4 work with the Photoshop CS5?
I am interested in purchasing a Wacom Tablet, model Intuos 4. But I ain't sure if it will work with the Photoshop CS5. Have anyone tested it and confirmed my doubt?
Any open sources with evidences that it works also helps. Thank you in advance.
Yes, the Intuos4 is recognized by Photoshop CS5. The Intuos4 comes with the Grip Pen. This pen senses 5 axes of motion: X, Y, Pressure, Tilt, and Bearing. This capability enables Photoshop to translate the user's hand, wrist, and arm motion into variations in each applied brush stroke.
If you are intent on working with CS5's new natural-media emulation via the Mixer Brush, you may want to invest in the optional Art Pen. This pen additionally senses Barrel Rotation. Imagine a flat, wide paintbrush: depending on the angle of the tip, a different stroke character will be produced. The Art Pen enables the user to faithfully emulate this additional quality, thereby providing additional expressive range. OTOH, if you will primarily be using Photoshop for retouching, the default Art Pen is sufficient.
